Isn't this oxymoronic (I love that word)? A slave is anything but free!

This is typical religious-speak. Demonize those that are different in order to feel better about who you are. Just what I was talking about in my last post. It is not seen as name calling or a put down of free thinking people. It's seen as a back slapping, high five hand clap to fellow believers. Put "that" group down so we can feel exalted. After all... we're God's favorites.
I'm telling you believers out there that this is the absolute wrong way to go about "winning the lost". You are alienating and pushing away those you see as "lost and missing God". This is why I think religion is bankrupt. It's man-made and phony.
Not to mention that it is Christianity (in this case) that does everything it can to keep your thinking to a minimum. That sounds like slave talk to me.

How anyone with half a brain could back this stance is beyond me. Why would a god impart his creation with cognitive ability and encourage them to use it as little as possible?
Anyone taking a stance has a whole brain, Matthew. Just saying...
Thinking for yourself is not encouraged by the Bible. Worldly wisdom is not a good thing to have. Faith is what is rewarded. And it turns into blind faith real quick after you begin going to church. I'm not surprised that people think this way. Even though I would probably never have said such a statement out loud in days gone by, I would have tacitly agreed with it.
